Quick Service Speed and Accuracy
For quick service and many fast casual operations, users can choose from different grid view options for each of the display stations – including 4 by 1, 4 by 2, 5 by 1, or 5 by 2 screens. Routing options include routing based on terminal number, routing category, or destination. Up to eight destinations can be defined – such as eat-in, carry-out, and drive-thru. Users can also define priority and rush time values, turn on or off consolidation, and set text labels for general, order state, and side items. Additional configuration options include the ability to display orders on the fly, on total, or one item back. Header information includes the terminal number, transaction number, and destination.

Table Service Efficiency and Quality
For table service and certain fast casual environments, operators also have the choice of using a line item view to route and interact at the individual item level. With QSR’s powerful delay routing functionality, individual items are routed based on cook times, and to specific preparation stations in the kitchen. Changes made to each item at each preparation station – such as fired, cooking, prepared, and redo – are simultaneously indicated at the expeditor station at the order level, ensuring servers and managers know with a glance the status of their items and orders. Once orders are completed in the kitchen, they are automatically moved to the front of the expeditor view, signaling for delivery of the order.

Activity Levels enable the ePic KDX station views to operate differently for certain parts of the day or week, such as a Lunch level and a Dinner level or a Weekday level and a Weekend level.

Access to Production Information
All actions within the ePic KDX are time-stamped and captured, and can be easily extracted for use with third-party reporting applications. Speed of service information is also displayed in real-time on each station view. This critical data is an excellent tool for in-store managers, as well as an effective means to measure performance. By comparing speed of service information to sales and revenue, productivity problems can be pinpointed and eliminated, helping to improve profit.
