and multi-media capabilities on an open, standards-based
platform to reliably run QSR’s advanced kitchen management
software solutions. Built to thrive in harsh hospitality
environments, the eXpert’s rugged design, with no moving parts
and extensive connections, enables it to be installed anywhere
in the store.
Complete Kitchen Management
Like QSR’s successful ePic video controllers, the purpose-built
eXpert provides a highly reliable, fully redundant kitchen
hardware solution. And the eXpert is a powerful and cost-effective
solution for those operators with the added requirements for full
multi-media functionality and the ability to run desktop
applications within harsh environments. Running such operating
systems as Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded, the eXpert also offers
configurable SODIMM memory and compact flash storage.
Fully integrated with QSR’s kitchen software and hardware
products, the eXpert can power QSR’s ConnectSmart Kitchen or
ePic Kitchen Display Software while enabling the use of advanced
training applications, such as training videos, at particular
stations in the kitchen. In addition to providing the option
for multi-media capabilities at any kitchen station, the eXpert
can perform as a cost-effective and space-saving solution within
a network of ePic video controllers instead of using a
backoffice computer.

In addition to powering QSR’s kitchen management software,
operators can rely on the eXpert to run third party kitchen
applications as well as other 32-bit applications (such as
inventory, labor, and e-mail or Web-based programs) while saving
highly coveted space in the most unforgiving locations. QSR’s
